- 13-week contract, Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care within IMC, PCU, and step-down units, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patients' cardiovascular status, including interpretation of 12-lead EKGs and managing dysrhythmias.
- Assist with procedures such as sheath removal, feeding tube care, and IV therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including alarms related to cardiac telemetry and critical changes in patient condition.
- Document all patient interactions and care activities accurately and promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Valid nursing license and willingness to work night shifts.
- 1-2 years of recent experience in IMC, PCU, or step-down units.
- BLS certification, NIHSS preferred.
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergent response.
- Experience with patient care regarding cardiovascular, neurological, and general medical conditions.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification.
- Ability to perform sheath removal, manage feeding tubes, and handle IV therapies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment with floating to multiple units.
