Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to neonatal patients in a state-of-the-art Level 4 NICU.
- Monitor and manage ventilators, IVs, and advanced therapies such as ECMO.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans for babies with various acuities, including prematurity and surgical needs.
- Maintain staffing ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on patient needs.
- Float within scope of practice to units within Riley Hospital for Children and IU Health North Hospital, including NICU and related pediatric units.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and maintain exceptional patient safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in a neonatal or pediatric critical care setting.
- Experience with ventilators, IV therapy, and advanced NICU equipment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous NICU experience at a Level 4 or high-acuity facility.
- Knowledge of ECMO and other advanced neonatal therapies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
