Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for general medicine with a focus on neurological cases
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and effective treatment plans
- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records
- Follow unit protocols using systems such as Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR
- Work within staffing ratios of approximately 1:6 on night shifts
- Contribute to hurricane/storm response teams and emergency preparedness efforts
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Neuro experience or certification
- NIH certification preferred
- Willingness to learn and serve as charge nurse when needed
- Teamwork-oriented approach to patient care
