Key Responsibilities
- Examine, test, diagnose, and administer remedial treatments for patients with speech, language, and hearing disorders.
- Evaluate patients' speech, language, oral motor, and auditory skills, and record speech samples for phonetic analysis.
- Develop and recommend appropriate therapeutic techniques and treatment plans, including the use of specialized equipment.
- Communicate actively with patients regarding progress, challenges, and home programs, ensuring comprehensive care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to interpret physician prescriptions and implement therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of test results, treatment activities, and patient progress.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
- Valid Texas Speech Language Pathologist License or intern license; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) supervision available.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA recommended.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous clinical experience in speech and language therapy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
