Key Responsibilities

• Float between departments or local locations within 20 miles as required.
• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to assigned patients during each shift.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care delivery.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation.
• Identify and address patient and family education, discharge planning, and follow-up needs.
• Supervise and coordinate care with LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Complete patient population, age-specific, and procedure-specific education and competency testing per unit standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of current experience in a large operating room setting.
• Ability to scrub in a surgical environment.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Valid nursing license in the state of New Mexico or a compact state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, be flexible, and work as a team player.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system (training available on-site).
• Orthopedic, EENT, and/or vascular surgical experience.
