Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric nursing care to patients on a behavioral health unit.
- Administer medications and perform blood glucose checks.
- Conduct patient assessments and document clinical observations.
- Assist with dressing changes and other patient care procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience.
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification.
- Strong communication skills and compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Medical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with electronic medical records, ideally Meditech.
- Knowledge of medical equipment such as wound vacs or dialysis cyclers.
