Job Title

• Days, Contract (13 weeks)

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in surgical procedures within the CVOR unit, including room setup, instrument handling, and equipment operation.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with central line, arterial line, Belmont, and cell saver setups.
• Support open heart surgeries such as CABG, MVR, TVR, AVR, VATS, and vascular procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation in the Meditech Expanse system and facilitate efficient patient flow.
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and ancillary staff to deliver excellent patient care and ensure safety.
• Assist with room turnover, disposable and instrument set management, and equipment troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications
• Certification in surgical technology (CNOR preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of CST/ORT experience, preferably in cardiac or vascular surgery.
• Proficiency in sterile techniques, OR equipment (Belmont, ESU, positioning tools), and procedures.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to work proactively in a team environment and anticipate potential issues.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in cardiac surgery, including procedures like CABG and valve repairs/replacements.
• Knowledge of Meditech Expanse documentation system.
• Experience operating Belmont systems and advanced OR equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
