Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient needs related to obstetric and gynecological care.
- Apply sound nursing judgment to make patient care management decisions.
- Coordinate patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning.
- Delegate and direct duties appropriately to healthcare team members.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement, nursing research, and performance activities to enhance patient care.
- Ensure delivery of safe, competent, and compassionate nursing care, demonstrating responsibility and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid registered nurse (RN) license.
- Knowledge of obstetric and gynecological patient care.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in OB/GYN or maternity nursing.
- Familiarity with nursing research and quality improvement initiatives.
- BLS/ACLS certification.
