Job Title
• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type
• Night shifts, full-time, 12-hour shifts (7 PM - 7 AM), rotating days and evenings, including holidays and float coverage as needed

Key Responsibilities
• Provide skilled nursing care to medical neurological patients in a 30-bed Neuro PCU setting with a focus on neurological and cardiac monitoring.
• Monitor patients via Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department for cardiac surveillance.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and safety standards.
• Participate in self-scheduled staffing for 6-week periods using the facility’s scheduling system.
• Support float requirements across all Cone Health facilities as needed.

Required Qualifications
• Valid registered nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, specifically in Neuro PCU or similar settings.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with CVA, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR bands, Yale Swallowing Screen.
• Ability to pass the required Pass/Fail EKG exam.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit or Stepdown Unit.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and holiday coverage as needed.
