Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist’s plan.
• Perform daily maintenance and quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
• Provide patient education to ensure compliance with treatment plans; educate families as needed.
• Monitor and document patient responses to therapy, reporting reactions or inconsistencies.
• Position, immobilize, and align patients per treatment protocols, addressing setup issues efficiently.
• Maintain detailed logs and treatment records of all procedures and outcomes.
• Collaborate with Level II Radiation Therapists to solve clinical problems and optimize patient care.
• Utilize quality assurance programs to ensure treatment accuracy and high standards of patient safety.
• Adapt and respond to schedule changes or workload variations proactively.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Radiation Therapist license and ARRT registration.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in radiation therapy.
• Graduate of a JCRT-accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Experience with IMRT and IGRT techniques.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate web-based applications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with MOSAIQ record and verify system.
• Ability to adapt to changing clinical situations and prioritize patient safety.
