Key Responsibilities
- Perform therapy evaluations and treatments for adult patients in acute care and rehabilitation units.
- Screen patients to determine appropriate therapy needs and develop discharge recommendations.
- Adapt to changing schedules and work collaboratively within a hospital environment.
- Utilize equipment such as DMEs and exercise tools to assist patient recovery.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, TJC, and hospital safety policies while providing quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and current Texas Occupational Therapist license.
- Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to changing schedules.
- Ability to quickly learn new procedures and hospital systems.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in acute care and rehab settings.
- Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system.
- Experience working with adult patient populations.
