Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a busy operating room environment, including scrubbing and circulating for various surgical procedures.
• Assist with neuro, ortho, trauma, kidney transplant, and general surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and patient safety protocols.
• Support and collaborate with surgical teams during robotic procedures, organ procurements, and complex surgeries.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a 30-minute response time.
• Handle patient preparation, post-operative care, and facilitate smooth workflow within a Level I Trauma Surgery setting.
• Comply with hospital policies and maintain compliance with licensing and credentialing requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts RN license and BILH coverage sheet.
• Proven experience in neuro, orthopedic trauma, kidney transplant, or similar high-acuity surgical environments.
• Ability to scrub and/or circulate for general, neuro, ortho, transplant, and specialized surgeries.
• Flexibility to work day shifts, either 4-10 hour shifts or variable 8-12 hour shifts.
• Willingness to work up to two weekends per month, including on call or working shifts.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic surgeries and complex transplant procedures.
• Familiarity with Inpatient Level I Trauma Surgery protocols.
• Previous work at a hospital within the Beth Israel Lahey Health system is not accepted if recently employed.
• BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
