Key Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation treatments to patients according to established treatment plans.
• Perform simulation procedures, including imaging (such as CT scans), to accurately map treatment sites and ensure precise radiation delivery.
• Assist in planning and verifying treatment plans, collaborating with the radiation oncology team.
• Educate patients about the treatment process and address psychosocial aspects of cancer care.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Support ongoing training and development related to simulation techniques as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of a radiation therapy training program.
• R.T. (T) certification and maintenance of certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiation Oncology, with strong simulation expertise.
• Working knowledge of radiation safety regulations and current treatment protocols.
• Experience with modern radiation delivery systems, imaging technologies, and electronic medical records.
• Proficiency with techniques such as Breath Hold, SRS, SBRT, Superficial, and HDR treatments.
• Knowledge of Mosaiq system highly preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
• Must be vaccinated against influenza for the current flu season (mandatory, no declinations).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience training colleagues on simulation procedures.
• Familiarity with advanced treatment techniques and imaging systems.
