Registered Nurse - Hospice

Full-time, weekends only, 13-week contract, on-call from Friday 4:30 pm to Sunday 4:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Provide after-hours and weekend hospice patient care to ensure comfort and quality of life.
- Build trusting, compassionate relationships with patients and their families.
- Educate caregivers on care needs and support them in managing their loved ones’ conditions.
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain continuity of care for patients with ongoing needs.
- Focus on pain management, symptom control, and emotional support for terminal or chronically ill patients.
- Empower patients and families to maximize comfort and coping during difficult times.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Vermont and New Hampshire or a current compact license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Experience in Medical/Surgical, Oncology, or Hospice care preferred.
- Ability to work independently within a supportive team environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior hospice or palliative care experience.
- Strong communication and compassionate caregiving skills.
