Travel, 12-week assignments, Night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate psychiatric nursing care to adult patients in a hospital setting.
• Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and respond to patient needs effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, recreational therapists, and other healthcare staff.
• Document patient care and progress accurately using Meditech Expanse system.
• Support patient discharge planning and participate in unit-specific policies and procedures.
• Assist with patient activities and therapeutic groups to promote recovery and well-being.

Required Qualifications

• Valid BLS certification.
• Registered Nurse licensure in the state of New Hampshire.
• Prior psychiatric nursing experience preferred, geriatrics experience a plus.
• Advanced skills in patient assessment and emotional support.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to floating based on unit needs.
• Familiarity with mechanical lifts, Sara Steady, and other safety equipment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Psychiatric background with experience in mental health inpatient settings.
• Strong team collaboration skills and adaptability to hospital protocols.
• Previous experience working with adult and geriatric populations.
