Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments and supplies.
• Assist surgical team during procedures, ensuring sterile techniques are maintained.
• Manage patient positioning and safety during surgeries.
• Handle specimen collection and processing as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and supplies used.

Required Qualifications

• Current certification to practice surgical technology in Oregon.
• Successful completion of a recognized surgical technology training program or military/US Public Health Service training.
• Certification as a surgical technologist issued by NBSTSA or recent completion of CAAHEP/ABHES-accredited program.
• At least two years of surgical technology experience in hospital or surgical center settings (if applicable).
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with computer applications related to healthcare.
• Familiarity with a variety of surgical specialties and procedures.
