Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for surgical and telemetry patients, following current nursing practices and hospital protocols.
- Assess patient needs through systematic data collection and document findings accurately.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses.
- Educate patients and families about health management, procedures, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and nursing practice.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Pennsylvania or the appropriate state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, maintained through ongoing education.
- Demonstrated clinical competency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
- Ability to prioritize patient care needs and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry unit.
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong patient education skills.
