Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Respiratory and Med-Surg units, including units like Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ER/Med-Surg boarders.
• Float occasionally between various medical-surgical units as needed.
• Work primarily during night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with every other weekend required.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
• Ensure all care activities meet clinical standards, especially for patients with complex medical needs such as COVID-19, telemetry, and stepdown patients.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies to promote a secure environment for patients and staff.

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing experience.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting Telemetry monitoring.
• Epic EMR proficiency (refresher classes or sit-1:1 training are not options).
• Ability to pass on-day competency testing for Telemetry skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Ability to adapt to floating between different units and handling diverse patient needs.
