Key Responsibilities
• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent situations using rapid response teams.
• Manage patient needs for IV therapy, including PICC lines, blood product administration, and central line care.
• Care for patients with neurological conditions such as stroke and post-neurosurgery.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips and vasoactive drugs, following protocols.
• Handle respiratory care procedures such as high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, and airway management.
• Perform wound care, including wound vac management and isolation precautions.
• Support various patient populations with complex needs, including renal failure, trauma, orthopedic emergencies, and respiratory failure.
• Collaborate within a dynamic team to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a similar setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Specialized certifications such as NIHSS and ACLS preferred.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, ICU or step-down units, and complex patient monitoring.
• Knowledge of IV therapy, heparin protocols, and emergency response procedures.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior work in Emergency Holding, Neuro Stepdown, or similar units.
• Experience managing vasoactive drips and PCA.
• Familiarity with trauma, orthopedics, and respiratory support devices such as Pleur-evacs and CPAP/BIPAP.
• Exposure to Epic charting system.

Additional Notes
• 8 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule.
• Regular floating within scope between units as needed.
• No on-call requirement.
• Pending license accepted; must be at least 75 miles from the facility location.
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.
• Wide variety of patient cases including stroke, respiratory failure, cardiac issues, and surgical recovery.
