Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care focused on medical-surgical and step-down unit needs in a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with mixed levels of care.
• Monitor patient telemetry, ensuring all patients are connected to bedside monitors with proper documentation in Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with a team of nurses and CNAs, including charge nurses, to deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care.
• Assist with patient turnover, ensuring quick and efficient patient flow (<24-hour LOS).
• float to other units as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Adhere to unit policies, dress code (navy/white scrubs), and maintain compliance with safety and care standards.

Required Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Valid RN license in North Carolina.
• Telemetry competency.
• At least 2 years of RN experience, preferably in progressive care or step-down units.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekend rotations (every other weekend required).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent progressive care experience.
• Strong patient-centered, compassionate attitude, and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, short-stay environment with quick patient turnover.
