Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs.
• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care and meet discharge planning needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting care according to policies and protocols.
• Supervise and mentor LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel during shifts.
• Complete and pass the onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to or during orientation; re-testing available if needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in New Mexico or a Compact State.
• Minimum of 2 years current experience in an 18+ bed telemetry/progressive care unit.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from recognized providers (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health and Safety).
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Must pass the onsite BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia) test.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
