- Full-time, Night shifts, 13-week travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for medical-surgical patients in a Level I trauma hospital.
- Administer medications, perform procedures such as I&D, thoracentesis, and peritoneal dialysis.
- Monitor patient conditions using bedside rhythm monitoring equipment and other medical devices.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
- Assist in patient education and support during recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Active VA or Compact State nursing license.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to pass a basic rhythm interpretation test.
- Willingness to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a medical-surgical unit.
- Strong patient-focus approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
