Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location:
Bon Air, VA
Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, travel assignment, days shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital emergency department
- Assess patient conditions, perform triage, and prioritize care based on severity
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Assist with patient transfers, discharge planning, and education as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Valid RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- TNCC certification
- Ability to work 13-week assignment starting around September 15, 2025
- At least 2 years of emergency department nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- NIHSS certification
- ENPC certification
- CPI certification
- Outgoing personality with strong critical thinking and work ethic
- Flexibility to float within the emergency department as needed

Note: All shifts are variable and may include weekends and on-call hours, with no on-call required every other week. Dress code is navy scrubs.
