Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery
Job Title
- Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (Travel)

- Richmond, VA
Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Full-time, Night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients in a small, family-oriented L&D unit
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using wireless and GE fetal monitoring systems
- Assist with active labor management, epidural administration, and C-section circulating duties
- Perform postpartum care, including newborn assessments and lab draws from mother and baby
- Support circumcision procedures and bili light treatments
- Promote patient safety through bedside report and safety rounding protocols
Required Qualifications
- Valid Fetal Monitor Certification
- At least 2 years of RN experience in Labor and Delivery
- Proficiency in fetal monitor interpretation and high-risk antepartum care
- Skilled in c-section circulation, postpartum care, and lab draws from mother and infant
- Ability to administer magnesium for pre-eclamptic patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with ultra sounds and antepartum testing
