Job Title

- Travel, 13-week assignment, Day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to laboring patients, ensuring safety and comfort during active labor and delivery.
- Interpret fetal monitoring to assess fetal wellbeing and respond to high-risk antepartum conditions.
- Assist with cesarean sections, circumcisions, and other obstetric procedures.
- Manage postpartum care, including Bili-light therapy, lab draws from mother and baby, and magnesium administration for pre-eclampsia.
- Ensure accurate documentation using Meditech and CPN systems, and adhere to hospital policies on safety and bedside reporting.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care in a small, family-oriented unit.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Fetal Monitor Certification.
- Active state nursing license.
- Proven experience in labor and delivery nursing, including high-risk antepartum care and active labor management.
- Skills in fetal monitor interpretation, postpartum care, and delivery procedures.
- Ability to perform lab draws on both mother and infant.
- Proficiency in BLS, NRP, and related procedures on the unit.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with obstetric emergencies and high-risk pregnancies.
- Comfortable using wireless fetal monitoring systems like Monica and GE fetal monitors.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
