Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Full-time, 13-week assignment, Mids (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in a busy ED setting.
- Perform ED-specific procedures and maintain competency in emergency protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Utilize GE monitors, Baxter pumps, Zoll travel monitors, and MediTech electronic documentation system.
- Adhere to hospital policies, dress code, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with staff and support a positive patient experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications required.
- Proven ED nursing experience of at least 2 years.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform ED procedures and demonstrate advanced clinical skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with MediTech or similar electronic health record systems.
- Familiarity with hospital equipment such as monitors and pumps.
- Experience working in a large hospital ED with patient ratios of 4:1 increasing to 5:1 during surges.
