Key Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary nursing care to adult patients in a Medical-Surgical unit focused on neurology and post-op care.
- Assist neurologists with bedside lumbar punctures and perform procedures including central line dressing changes, wound care, and Foley catheter insertion.
- Monitor and administer treatments with equipment such as feeding pumps, IVs, and central lines.
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of RNs, LPNs, and PCTs to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Maintain safety and compliance standards, including proper dress code and infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Active compact RN license
- At least 2 years of hospital experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
- Current BLS certification
- Strong teamwork, compassion, and patience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Neuro assessment proficiency
- Experience with feeding pumps, peg tubes, and central lines
