Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care focused on MRI procedures for outpatient and inpatient populations.
• Assist with IV starts, perform POCT testing, check medications, vital signs, lab results, and patient history to ensure safety for imaging studies.
• Collaborate with anesthesia team for sedation and perform recovery phase post-anesthesia.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to facilitate patient flow, including ED and inpatient units.
• Respond promptly to safety events such as IV infiltration, contrast reactions, and patient falls.
• Adhere to MRI safety protocols, including MRI Full Stop training, ensuring safety for patients and team members entering the MRI magnet.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Diagnostic Imaging Radiology, ICU, Progressive Care, or ED nursing.
• ACLS certification.
• Ability to perform IV starts and POCT testing.
• Knowledge of medication safety, patient assessment, and emergency response.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous MRI nursing experience.
• Familiarity with anesthesia prep and recovery processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
