Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth patient recovery.
- Document patient assessments and care details accurately.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in South Carolina or appropriate state.
- Prior experience in PACU or post-anesthesia care preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to quickly assess patient status and respond appropriately.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a hospital setting.
- Familiarity with Prisma Health protocols and policies.
- Ability to float to different units as required, with demonstrated competency.
