Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, shifts primarily scheduled as days; four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, with rotating options
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate and/or scrub in cardiac, vascular/endovascular, thoracic, thoracic robotics, and general surgeries
- Cover scheduled shifts including weekdays and weekends, with emergency on-call responsibilities
- Respond promptly to cardiac or endovascular emergencies during on-call shifts
- Ensure compliance with all hospital protocols and patient safety standards
- Participate in weekly orientation and ongoing training sessions
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license active in Massachusetts
- 1-3 years of related operating room experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Prior experience in a surgical or hospital setting, with specific OR experience preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a teaching hospital environment
- Specialty area expertise in cardiac, vascular, thoracic, or robotics surgeries
- Ability to scrub and circulate in complex surgical procedures
