Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound services, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress tests for adult patients.
- Prepare ultrasound equipment, assist with patient setup, and explain procedures to patients.
- Review and analyze ultrasound images, document findings, and evaluate patient history to assist in diagnosis.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to frame the clinical questions and expand exams as needed.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of imaging to support effective cardiac assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound or Sonographer program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a cardiac sonographer.
- Certification: Must hold RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer), RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer), or ACS certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with structural heart studies, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and stress echo is highly desired.
- Strong communication skills to educate and interact with patients effectively.
