Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on neuro and trauma patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, perform neuro and spinal checks, and manage complex medical procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV infusions, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and blood transfusions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient progress and care provided using Cerner electronic medical records.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety standards, and dress code requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care or step-down setting.
• Experience with neuro and trauma patient care.
• Ability to perform procedures such as neuro/ spinal checks, chest tube management, and patient lifts.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior neuro and trauma care experience.
• Knowledge of Cerner EMR system.
• Strong team player with patient-focused approach.
