Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac and progressive care level patients, including those with acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, myocardial infarction, and heart failure.
• Monitor and manage patients post-cardiac catheterization, EP procedures, and device placements such as pacemakers or ICDs.
• Utilize advanced cardiac telemetry skills including CVP monitoring, PICC lines, and rapid response teams.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, including passing EKG exams and completing required documentation.
• Float between multiple campuses as needed, maintaining high standards of care and timeliness.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent cardiac or ICU/IMC/PCU nursing experience.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, PCU, or stepdown care settings.
• Knowledge of EP labs, post-MI care, and relevant cardiac procedures.
• Ability to pass Pass/Fail EKG exam required by the client.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed.
• Familiarity with EP lab procedures and post-procedure patient management.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Experience with rapid response teams and complex cardiac patients.
