Job Title
- Sterile Processing Technician

- Full-time, night shift
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment
- Operate sterilization equipment such as Steris/Sterrad and washer/sterilizers
- Maintain accurate tracking of instruments using CensiTrac or similar system
- Prepare instrument trays and case carts for surgical procedures
- Assist in high-level disinfection processes, including endoscopic ultrasound scopes and other specialized devices
- Ensure compliance with sterilization protocols and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of sterile processing experience (preferably at least 5 years)
- Certification in sterile processing (e.g., IAHCSMM/HSPA or CRCCST)
- Experience with Steris/Sterrad sterilizers and CensiTrac system
- Knowledge of decontamination and sterilization procedures in high-volume surgical settings
- Ability to work nights and accommodate a flexible schedule
- Valid surgical technology or sterile processing license, if applicable
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hospital experience in teaching, community, or trauma facilities
- Experience with ambulatory surgery centers and diverse surgical specialties (orthopedics, urology, neurology, plastics, robotics, ENT, ophthalmology, colorectal, etc.)
- Knowledge of biological and chemical indicators, sterilization testing/monitoring, and flash sterilization techniques
