Key Responsibilities

• Provideurgent emergency nursing care in a high-volume ER setting, managing adult and pediatric patients.
• Administer treatments and medications, including blood products, IV sedation, vasopressors, and procedural sedation.
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as ABGs and dysrhythmias; manage patients with neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
• Perform procedures including IV starts, arterial line management, central line care, and phlebotomy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure protocol compliance, especially regarding trauma, stroke, and STEMI cases.
• Follow strict isolation and triage procedures, adhering to hospital protocols for emergency care.

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
• Experience in Emergency Department nursing, including trauma, neuro, and pediatric emergencies.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs, and manage complex trauma cases.
• Willing to work holidays; availability for every other weekend.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a STEMI and stroke-certified ER facility.
• Proficiency in neuro-monitoring including ICP monitoring.
• Familiarity with trauma protocols including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, and drowning cases.
