Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in a 24-bed Intermediate Care (IMC) unit specializing in neuro stepdown and cardiac telemetry.
• Perform skills such as IV starts, port access, PICC line and central line care, blood product administration, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Manage respiratory support procedures including trach care, oxygen delivery, chest tubes, ABG interpretation, and non-invasive ventilation.
• Administer medications such as PCA, procedural sedation, heparin protocols, and vasoactive drips within scope.
• Deliver GI care, including feeding tube management, and handle complex patient needs related to post-MI, cardiac procedures, and arrhythmia management.
• Support wound care, isolation precautions, renal therapy, and rapid response team protocols as needed.
• Assist with floating to other units or campuses as required, ensuring competency and adherence to protocols.

Required Qualifications:

• Active SC or multistate nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with neuro stepdown and cardiac telemetry expertise.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with IV starts, port access, PICC, central and peripheral line care, blood products, and respiratory procedures.
• EPIC charting system experience (minimum 1 year).

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience in a hospital setting with complex cardiac and neuro patient populations.
• Ability to manage multiple invasive lines and supporting ventilatory needs.
• Familiarity with wound vac, isolation procedures, and renal patient management.
