- Full-time, Days shift, rotating weekly with weekend call
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical setting across multiple specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, OBGYN, and Endoscopy.
- Participate in patient preparation, monitoring during procedures, and post-operative care.
- Perform and assist with C-sections, ensuring sterile techniques and patient safety.
- Collaborate with anesthesia, respiratory, and other healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to unit protocols for documentation, medication administration, and invasive procedures.
- Cover rotating shifts including weekends and respond to on-call demands with early callbacks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Vermont or appropriate state licensure.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent surgical or operating room nursing experience.
- Experience with C-section procedures.
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years.
- Ability to scrub or strongly proficient as a circulating nurse.
- Reliable transportation; personal or rental vehicle preferred during winter months.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience.
- Knowledge of OR procedures, anesthesia support, and ventilator management.
- Experience working in Critical Access hospitals or similar settings.
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with EPIC medication systems.
