Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients on the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit.
- Monitor patient conditions using telemetry and administer medications as prescribed.
- Assist with patient assessments, IV starts, wound care, and managing surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech electronic health records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families, including bedside shift reports and personalized care discussions.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or eligible for licensure.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and provide high-quality patient care.
- Experience with IV starts, basic wound care, and managing medical devices.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with advanced cardiac monitoring and telemetry.
- Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures related to acute care units.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
