• Olathe, KS
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 13-week contract, Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized telemetry nursing care to cardiac patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor patient cardiac rhythms and respond to arrhythmias or emergencies accordingly
• Administer cardiac drips such as Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem, and initiate Tikosyn/Sotalol therapy
• Follow established protocols for patient care and documentation using electronic medical records (EPIC)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to all acute care units as needed, maintaining flexibility across hospital departments
Required Qualifications
• Valid Kansas RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year recent telemetry nursing experience
• Experience with TR Bands post-procedure care
• Proficiency with cardiac drips (Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem) and initiation of Tikosyn/Sotalol
• Ability to work night shifts and handle a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
• 2–5 years of telemetry nursing experience
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and arrhythmia management
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
