Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient physical therapy to a diverse patient population with an average daily patient load of 8-10
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including exercise programs, mobility, and functional activities
• Educate patients and their families on safety, injury prevention, and recovery procedures
• Collaborate closely with nursing, case management, and therapy teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Manage patient progress, document care in electronic medical records, and adjust treatments as needed
• Support the discharge planning process by preparing patients for return home or transfer to other facilities

Required Qualifications

• Valid state license as a Physical Therapist
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or similar setting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to work day shifts and accommodate a block schedule if necessary

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Geriatrics, Neurology, Orthopedics, or Medical Surgical units
• Familiarity with patient education on assistive devices, pain management, and skin integrity
• Skills in patient mobilization, body mechanics, and environmental assessment
