Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent, comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level 2 NICU setting, including assessments, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor for side effects, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Document patient history, medications, symptoms, and care provided accurately.
- Address the emotional, psychological, and social needs of patients and families, offering education and support as appropriate.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members, including float to mother/baby units as needed, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities aligning with organizational competencies and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current STABLE and NRP certifications
- At least 1 year of experience in neonatal or perinatal nursing (preferred)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Recent experience in a neonatal ICU or Perinatal setting
- Completion of a Perinatal RN Residency program
