Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Austin, TX
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Night shift, 13-week contract with on-call requirements
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care to patients in a Level 4 designated maternal unit caring for high-risk pregnancies and complex obstetric cases.
• Assist with vaginal and Cesarean section deliveries, along with procedures such as tubal ligations, cerclage placement/removal, D&C, C-hyst, and PASD cases.
• Monitor and support laboring patients, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to unit protocols.
• Collaborate with a team of skilled nurses, support staff, and physicians to deliver comprehensive maternity care.
• Document patient progress and procedures using EMR systems, including CPN and Meditech.
• Participate in team activities and contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license for the state of Texas.
• Experience with high-risk maternal and obstetric patients.
• Knowledge of circulating in operating rooms and triage procedures.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a dynamic setting.
• Strong team communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Over 5 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Familiarity with vaginal and Cesarean section deliveries, tubal ligations, cerclage procedures, and D&C.
• Experience with high-acuity obstetric patients and complex procedures.
