Key Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate complex cardiac cases, including procedures such as CABG, TAVR, LVAD, Impella, Valve surgeries, and heart and lung transplants
- Assist with general OR and vascular cases, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes
- Collaborate with surgical teams in a fast-paced, Level I trauma center environment
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to OR protocols during all procedures
- Document procedures accurately using electronic medical records (EPIC) system
- Provide on-call coverage, including weekday and weekend call duties, with approximately 5-8 calls per month
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina or multi-state license valid in the US, in hand at start of assignment
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant operating room experience
- Certification in BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
- Ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac and vascular cases
- Radiation badge (to be provided by agency)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level I trauma hospital or teaching facility
- Prior vascular and transplant surgical experience a plus
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system

- All time-off requests (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and approved based on department needs
- During hurricane season (June to November), staff may be assigned for emergency response, so please plan accordingly
