Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgeries in a busy CVOR unit.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, including RN and CST members, to ensure safe and efficient procedures.
- Float to the OR as needed, supporting various units based on volume and staffing needs.
- Follow assigned team schedules, working Friday through Monday on an alternating weekly basis.
- Participate in on-call rotations after shift hours on Friday through Sunday during scheduled weeks.
- Assist with maintaining patient safety and adherence to all healthcare protocols throughout the perioperative process.
Required Qualifications
- Active South Carolina registered nursing license or multistate license.
- Previous scrub experience in cardiovascular operating room settings.
- Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Flexibility to float to other units and campuses as needed.
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule that includes on-call responsibilities.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working specifically in a CVOR or cardiac surgery environment.
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) is a plus.
- Experience with first scrub procedures in cardiovascular surgery.
