Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub duties in the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) as part of a team that includes RNs and other CSTs.
- Support two designated teams working on an alternating schedule, generally from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm every other week.
- Participate in on-call rotation after shifts on Friday through Sunday during scheduled weeks.
- Float to other OR units as needed, ensuring competency for all tasks performed.
- Assist with cardiovascular surgeries, maintaining sterile technique and supporting surgeons and staff.
- Collaborate effectively within a team model to ensure smooth surgical operations.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA.
- Previous scrub experience in a surgical or CVOR setting preferred.
- Ability to support float assignments to different OR units as required.
- Willingness to work scheduled weekends and on-call hours.
- Reliable and flexible team player.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- First scrub experience in CVOR or cardiovascular surgery.
- Experience working with travel pairs or trios is a plus.
- Ability to support both routine and emergent cardiovascular procedures.
