Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) for scheduled surgeries.
• Support the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Float to other OR areas as needed based on hospital volume and staffing requirements.
• Collaborate with RN and surgical team to ensure smooth workflow during procedures.
• Potential to be part of a team working in a rotating schedule, including on-call hours.

Required Qualifications

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA.
• First scrub experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment across multiple units.
• Flexibility to float to different units as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a CVOR setting or cardiovascular surgical environment.
• Experience working with travel teams in a hospital OR.
