Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 12-hour night shifts

Key Responsibilities
• Provide patient care to adult and geriatric general Med/Surg patients within a dynamic unit.
• Manage insulin and heparin drips, wound vac dressings, and high-flow oxygen therapies.
• Document patient care using EPIC and PYXIS systems, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members in a fast-paced environment, including floating to similar units as needed.
• Contribute to patient safety and quality care by adhering to protocols and participating in unit responsibilities such as storm and hurricane response teams.
• Maintain compliance with all unit policies, including specialized procedures like wound changes and respiratory support.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Med/Surg setting.
• Valid RN license applicable in North Carolina.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records required.
• Ability to administer insulin and heparin drips safely.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Certified Pediatric or Critical Incident Prevention (CPI) certification.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, including COVID-19 patients.
