Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting.
• Assist with open heart and vascular surgeries, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures, demonstrating proficiency in CVOR protocols.
• Recognize and respond to ECG rhythm changes promptly and appropriately.
• Complete orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, with acceptable scores.
• Work at least every other holiday to meet staffing needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months recent CVOR experience in a hospital setting.
• Prior open heart and vascular surgery experience preferred.
• Valid RN license.
• Ability to scrub and circulate in a surgical environment.
• Recent references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in CVOR.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in high-acuity surgical environments.
• Knowledge of advanced cardiac procedures and vascular surgeries.
