- Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, Day shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered nursing care to laboring women and newborns in a busy Labor and Delivery unit
- Monitor fetal and maternal health using electronic fetal monitoring and other equipment
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum care
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Document patient care and procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner)
- Respond promptly to emergencies and high-risk situations in a high-acuity environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license and current state licensure in North Carolina
- At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Experience with high-risk pregnancies and immediate newborn care
- Certifications: NRP, BLS/ACLS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- Certified in Advanced Fetal Monitoring or willing to obtain prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating experience in Labor and Delivery
- Experience working with high-risk obstetrics and neonatal care
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality to best serve diverse patient needs
