Key Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative nursing care to patients in a busy hospital setting.
- Assess patients, establish IVs, and prepare them for surgery, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner system.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Adhere to hospital policies, unit guidelines, and safety protocols.
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate care and professional interaction.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical or preoperative nursing experience.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Strong assessment, IV placement, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with surgical prep and post-op care.
- Proficiency with Cerner documentation system.
- Knowledge of hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Ability to float between PreOp and Phase 2/PACU units.

Note: This role involves weekend call responsibilities 1-2 times in a 6-week schedule. Uniform required: Navy Blue scrubs.
